144th FlexRide

Reliable and affordable transportation shouldn’t be a barrier to accessing employment opportunities. Smart Commute partners with RTD, Broomfield, Thornton, Westminster, and local businesses to provide daily transit service to the employment center at 144th Avenue and I-25. The service is partially funded using a federal grant through September 2023.
How does the 144th FlexRide Shuttle work?
- Morning fixed route service is every 20 minutes between 4:50 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. (see schedule)
- From 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the service is by reservation only.
- Smart Commute recommends booking trips a day or more in advance. Call RTD Customer Service at 303.299.6000 to make a reservation.
- Cost is $3.00 one-way, with transfers available (simply ask the driver for a transfer at no extra cost). All RTD passes are accepted on FlexRide shuttles.
- Evening commute fixed route service every 20 minutes between 5:05 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. (see schedule)

- Trip Planning & Travel Training – Need some help planning your transit trip or riding transit? Smart Commute can help. If you want, we’ll even come with you on a trip to get you comfortable with transit!
- Keep it Going – Interested in the 144th FlexRide shuttle operating after the grant period ends? Send Smart Commute a note and tell us why RTD, sponsoring local jurisdictions, and area employers should continue running the shuttle.
- Community Connections—Smart Commute – Community Connections! Smart Commute is working with RTD to provide more north area transit connections (including connecting to the N Line). Tell us where you live and need to go, and what lines you would use to transfer if they were convenient and reliable (N Line, B Line and G Line commuter trains, or any of the north area FlexRide service areas). Help Smart Commute advocate for transit connections!
