Smart Commute works with local governments, RTD, and community partners to support on-demand and flexible transit services that help residents connect to jobs, shopping, healthcare, schools, and regional transit.
These are local community microtransit services separate from RTD services. Each service has it’s own app or call-n-ride structure, as well as fare.
Services for older adults and those with mobility needs:
FlexRides are operated within specific service territories and are a part of the larger RTD system. Fares are $2.75 one-way and operate on a reservation-based system.
In 2024 Smart Commute is partnering with RTD and local jurisdictions to carry out a DRCOG-funded grant project focused on scaling the lessons learned from the workforce-focused Wagon Road FlexRide grant project. While the Wagon Road FlexRide is still running in RTD’s system, our team is focused on optimizing the services that all FlexRides provide throughout our service area.
